Jerry Reiner, CISSP has worked in the technology sector since 2005. In that time, they have held various roles in different companies. From 2005 to 2013, they worked for the United States Air Force as a Program Manager and Information Assurance (IA) Auditor, responsible for managing $28M worth of deployable communications systems and ensuring 111 units at 13 locations worldwide receive equipment and training. During this time, they also worked for the Texas Air National Guard as a Flight Commander Cyber Warfare Operations Officer (Major Retired), leading a 27 person flight to execute cyberspace operations and information operations functions.
From 2006 to 2021, Reiner worked for National Oilwell Varco as a Director Software Engineering, Director Digital Technology, Director Systems and Software Engineering, Software Engineering Manager, Embedded Software Engineering Supervisor, Senior Software Engineer Embedded Systems, Senior Controls Engineer - Software Supervisor, and Senior Controls Engineer. Jerry'sroles included leading a global team of software and systems engineers, modernizing the technology roadmap, implementing an edge first strategy for wired drill pipe drilling optimization applications, providing leadership and technical guidance to a software engineering team, and developing Real Time Java based controls system for automated oil field tools.
In 2021, Reiner joined Fortem Technologies as Director Software Engineering.
Jerry Reiner, CISSP obtained their Associate Applied Science degree in Electronic Systems Technologies from the Community College of the Air Force in 1995. Jerry then went on to obtain their BS in Computer Studies from the University of Maryland in 2002. In 2008, they earned their MS in Software Engineering from the University of Houston-Clear Lake. In 2012, they earned an Executive Education Certificate in NOV Ventures Technology Commercialization from The University of Texas at Austin. In 2021, they earned a Professional Program degree in Cloud and DevOps Continuous Transformation from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In 2015, they obtained their CISSP certification from (ISC)\u00b2.
