Quintin Liu

Quintin is the senior vice president of software engineering, responsible for core technology development for software and silicon products. He has over 20 years experiences in research and development for speech and audio products. Before joining Fortemedia in 2009, he was CTO and co-founder of Maxsonics, a Silicon Valley startup providing voice solutions for communication devices. Previously, he held various engineering positions at Brecis (acquired by PMC-Sierra), Sony Electronics and Motorola. Quintin started his industry career as research engineer at Nortel, Montreal, in 1997. Prior to that role, he spent 6 years as research associate and postdoctoral scholar at INRS of University of Quebec and Tsinghua University, conducting research in array signal processing. He received his Ph.D, MS and Bachelor degrees from Xi'an Jiaotong University. Quintin is an author of over 30 publications and inventor of 7 patents.
