Paul Behrmann

Paul Behrmann is an accomplished financial professional with extensive experience in fintech, credit portfolio management, and risk assessment. Currently serving as an Advisor at Forter since February 2024, Behrmann previously founded and led Payflex, a prominent buy now pay later (BNPL) fintech in South Africa, achieving significant growth with over 500,000 customers and 3,000 merchants. Prior roles include Chief Analytics Officer at Barclays, where responsibilities included portfolio analytics and lending models, as well as various leadership positions in risk management and corporate finance at Barclays and Standard Bank Group. Behrmann's career also includes strategic roles at Capital One and Visa, alongside an academic background in Economics and Philosophy & History of Science from The London School of Economics and a Bachelor of Business Science from the University of Cape Town.
