Jeffrey Dade has a diverse work experience spanning over 17 years. Jeffrey currently works as a Community Development Director at Forterra since June 2020. In addition to their role at Forterra, they also serve as a Board Director at Greentrike since October 2020.

Prior to their current positions, Jeffrey Dade was the President of their own company, Dade Financial Consultants, where they provided financial consulting services from 2005 to 2022. Jeffrey also worked as the Director of Family Stability Initiatives at United Way of Pierce County from 2019 to 2020.

Jeffrey Dade has experience as a Financial Counselor and holds the AFC® (Accredited Financial Counselor) designation. Jeffrey worked as a Financial Counselor at Zeiders Enterprises, Inc. from 2016 to 2020, and at Workplace Options from 2014 to 2020. Jeffrey also served as a Director of Financial Opportunity at Sound Outreach from 2018 to 2019.

Additionally, Jeffrey Dade has worked as a Financial Advisor at Edward Jones in 2013 and as an Assistant Vice President, Business Banking Relationship Manager at KeyBank from 2011 to 2013. Jeffrey co-founded Pierce County Network in 2008, where they worked until 2012.

Jeffrey Dade, MACP, AFC®, completed their Master of Arts in Community Planning (MACP) degree at the University of Washington Tacoma from 2018 to 2020. Jeffrey'sstudies focused on Urban Studies, Community Economic Development, Social Equity, Socio-political power, and Public Policy. Prior to their master's degree, Jeffrey obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Urban Studies with an emphasis on Law & Policy and Community & Economic Development from the University of Washington Tacoma, which they completed from 2009 to 2011.

Before their higher education, Jeffrey attended Rogers High School and graduated in 1993.

In terms of additional certifications, Jeffrey became a charter member of the International African American Museum (IAAM) in September 2022. Jeffrey also became a Path to Positive Communities Ambassador at ecoAmerica in March 2022. In February 2022, Jeffrey joined the BlackSpace Urbanist Collective as a member. Additionally, they became a fellow at the American Leadership Forum - National in January 2022, and a member of Tabor 100 in October 2021. In the same month, they became a senior fellow at the Environmental Leadership Program. In February 2021, Jeffrey obtained a certification as a Certified Diversity Consultant from DEI Management.

In terms of financial counseling certifications, Jeffrey became an Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC) from the Association for Financial Counseling and Planning Education® (AFCPE®) in September 2014. Jeffrey also obtained the HERO Community Development Certified Financial Counseling (CDCFC) certification from the National Cooperative Business Association CLUSA International (NCBA CLUSA) in April 2019.

Other affiliations include being a member of the American Planning Association and TACOMA URBAN LEAGUE.

In the past, Jeffrey held licenses as a Washington Licensed Designated Broker & Mortgage Loan Originator with the Washington Department of Financial Institutions.
