Conor Lawlor

Conor Lawlor is a Senior Mining Engineer with extensive experience in medium and short-term planning in the mining sector. Currently at Fortescue since June 2023, Conor is focused on the 3-Month Planning horizon for the Iron Bridge Magnetite Project. Previous roles include Senior Mining Engineer at Calidus Resources Limited and various positions at Fortescue Metals Group, including Senior Mining Engineer - Short Term Planning and Mine Planning Engineer. Earlier experience comprises positions at MACA Ltd and Glencore, where Conor served as Mining Project Engineer and Mine Production Engineer, respectively. Conor's educational background includes a Graduate Diploma in Professional Accounting from Curtin University, a Graduate Certificate in Data Science from the University of South Australia, and dual degrees in Mining Engineering and Applied Mathematics/Physics from The University of Western Australia, along with studies at Queen's University.
