Gretchen Michaels

Gretchen Michaels, CPA, has a diverse work experience that spans over several years. Gretchen has held various roles in different companies, showcasing their flexibility and expertise. From 1995 to 1996, they served as CFO/Controller at VDOnet, Inc., a venture-funded startup focused on video for the internet. Gretchen then worked as a Consultant at Startup Solutions LLP in the Silicon Valley, where they provided consulting services to other venture-funded startups. In 1997, they joined Precision Navigation as Controller/Project Manager, before moving on to Westwave Communications, where they served as CFO/Controller from 1999 to 2001. Gretchen also worked as a Resident Artist and Tasting Room Volunteer at Thumbprint Cellars and as a Sales/Marketing/Wine Making Assistant, Tasting Room Manager, and Designer at Red Sky Winery. Gretchen started their own consulting firm, GM Consulting, in 2002, specializing in accounting and finance services. Over the years, they have taken on various additional roles, including being an Artist and Longarm Quilter at GretchQuilts and a Consultant at Kris Nations Jewelry. Since 2015, they have been the Head of Administration and HR at Fortex Technologies, Inc. Gretchen Michaels, CPA, obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from San Diego State University, where they studied from 1986 to 1990. Prior to attending SDSU, they participated in an exchange program as a Norwegian foreign exchange student at Kristiansand Katta in 1985-1986. In 1991, Gretchen obtained their Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification from the California Board of Accountancy, with a license number of 64224.
