Lisa Barnes

Lisa Barnes has a diverse work experience in public relations and publicity. Lisa is the Managing Director at Fortier Public Relations, LLC since October 2021. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Publicity from July 2020 to November 2021, and as the Associate Director of Publicity from November 2015 to July 2020. Lisa also worked as an Assistant Agent Director at Penguin Random House Speakers Bureau in 2014. Lisa held multiple roles at the Random House Publishing Group, including Assistant Director of Publicity from 2011 to 2014, Publicity Manager from 2008 to 2011, and Senior Publicist from 2005 to 2008. Lisa started their career as a Publicist at NBC Universal / Beck Media in 2004 and as a Consultant at The Marino Organization | Tiller LLC in 2003. Lisa also has teaching experience as a Teaching Fellow at Vanderbilt University from 1997 to 2002.

Lisa Barnes received their Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language and Literature from Duke University. Lisa later pursued a Doctor of Philosophy degree in English Language and Literature at Vanderbilt University, which they obtained in 2002.
