Joshua Martin has a diverse range of work experience. Joshua co-founded and held multiple positions at Fortify, starting as the CEO and later becoming the Chief Product Officer. Prior to that, they worked as a Research Scientist and NSF GRFP Fellow at Northeastern University College of Engineering, where they focused on developing 3D printed materials with tunable reinforcement architecture. Joshua also worked as a Research Scientist at the U.S. Army Research Laboratory, specializing in dye-sensitized solar cells and related technologies. Additionally, they worked as a Materials Scientist at the Center for Composite Materials and as an Applications Engineer at Cytec. Joshua holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Delaware.
Joshua Martin's education history begins with their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Delaware, which they obtained from 2009 to 2012. Joshua then pursued a higher level of education and received their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Materials Science from Northeastern University from 2013 to 2018.
In terms of additional certifications, Joshua obtained the SolidWorks Associate certification in August 2014. Joshua also attained the Engineer in Training certification from the Delaware Association of Professional Engineers in October 2011.
Currently, Joshua is enrolled in the executive program DY/DX at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business, which they are expected to complete in 2022.
