Ian Buchwald

Ian Buchwald is an experienced professional in the field of forestry and wildlife management. Currently serving as a Forestry Field Representative and Forestry Field Inspector at FortisAlberta since May 2018, Ian also contributes as a Course Facilitator for the Utility Vegetation Management Certification Program at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. Prior experience includes roles as Wildlife Lead/Wildlife Biologist at Vertex Resource Group Ltd., and Bird and Wildlife Technician at SGS. Ian started in the field with positions as Crew Foreman and Herbicide Applicator at Ace Vegetation and West Country Oilfield Services, along with a Data Collector position at DZS Contracting Ltd./Presslee Orchard. Ian holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from MacEwan University, complemented by further studies at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
