Mathew Varghese E.i.t.

Mathew Varghese, E.I.T. is an experienced engineering professional specializing in electrical engineering. Currently serving as a Distribution Planning Engineer in Training at FortisAlberta since July 2021, Mathew previously held engineering roles during cooperative education placements with the City of Edmonton as an LRT Traction Power Engineering Coop and EPCOR in various capacities including Transmission Asset Management and System Planning. Mathew’s engineering journey began with FortisAlberta as an Engineering Student in Distribution in 2018. Prior to entering the engineering field, Mathew gained customer service experience as a cashier at Shoppers Drug Mart from 2014 to 2017. Mathew holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering with a focus on Electrical Engineering from the University of Alberta, completed in 2021.
