Sara Girard

Sara Girard has over 15 years of experience in the fields of accounting, internal controls, and IT business solutions. Currently serving as the Manager of IT Business Solutions at FortisAlberta since December 2012, Sara has also held several managerial and supervisory roles within the company, focusing on internal controls, operational accounting, and general accounting. Prior to FortisAlberta, Sara worked at Shaw Communications in various risk and compliance positions. Earlier professional experience includes roles as a Business Instructor at CDI College and as an Accountant at Ross, Pope & Company and David Dobson, Chartered Accountant. Sara holds a Bachelor of Applied Business Administration in Accounting and IT from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology and a Post Graduate degree in Accounting and IT from Conestoga College.
