Jan Mayer

Jan Mayer is an accomplished scientist and entrepreneur with extensive expertise in software architectures, energy management, and critical infrastructure. Currently serving as a Scientist at fortiss GmbH since April 2018, Jan focuses on developing software solutions for climate-neutral neighborhoods and coordinates projects within industrial cooperations. As CEO and Project Manager for Energy & Buildings at Wilhelm Mayer Grundstücksgesellschaft mbH & Co. KG, Jan leads initiatives in energy concept development and the integration of digital technologies in commercial construction. Jan is also the founder of 4tel vor, specializing in energy contracting and management. Previous experience includes a PhD in Experimental Physics from the University of Basel, research on organic photovoltaics at CSEM, and various roles in project assistance and internships, showcasing a strong foundation in both technical and managerial capacities.
