ShaNoah Emory, CPA, CIA® has over five years of work experience in internal auditing and IT audit roles. In their most recent position at Fortitude Re, they served as the Assistant Vice President, leading the development of a portfolio of IT audits and managing relationships with key stakeholders. Prior to that, ShaNoah worked as a Senior Associate in IT Internal Audit at the same company, where they conducted IT audits and performed SOX testing. Before joining Fortitude Re, ShaNoah worked as a Senior Data Auditor at Evergy, leading the introduction of data analytics and automation into the audit process. They also worked as an Internal Auditor at the Federal Home Loan Bank of Topeka, conducting operational, compliance, and financial audits. Earlier in their career, ShaNoah was an Internal Controls Auditor at Security Benefit, responsible for testing controls and conducting substantive procedures.

ShaNoah Emory, CPA, CIA®, earned a Master of Accountancy degree with a focus in Accounting from Emporia State University, completing the program in 2022. Prior to that, ShaNoah obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Accounting and Economics from Washburn University, graduating in 2018.

Throughout their educational journey, ShaNoah has also obtained several certifications. They became a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) in September 2020, awarded by The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc. In November 2019, ShaNoah achieved a Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA) from the IIA-The Institute of Internal Auditors. Additionally, ShaNoah became a Six Sigma Green Belt (CSSGB) in August 2019, certified by Security Benefit. Most recently, in December 2022, they obtained the prestigious Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation from the Kansas Board of Accountancy. Looking ahead, ShaNoah is also pursuing a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification from ISACA, with plans to complete the program in June 2023.
