Kazuya Iwamoto

Kazuya Iwamoto, MD, PhD, MBA, FACP, currently serves as Chairperson of the 一般財団法人 日本製薬医学会 since April 2011 and has led medical affairs activities since June 2015. Additionally, Kazuya holds the position of Senior Medical Director at Fortrea, overseeing the Asian Pacific Oncology Medical team and contributing scientifically to clinical development functions. Previous roles include Head of Medical at Hospira and Biogen Idec, where responsibilities encompassed managing medical divisions, leading clinical development programs, and re-organizing teams for strategic outcomes. Kazuya's experience spans multiple prominent companies, including Bayer HealthCare and Eli Lilly and Company, focusing on drug development, clinical research, and internal medicine expertise. Kazuya received a PhD in Internal Medicine from Kobe University, an MD from Hiroshima University, and an MBA from GLOBIS University.
