Thomas J. Michelena

Tom Michelena, MBA, is a seasoned financial executive with extensive experience in the banking sector. As the President, Chief Financial Officer, and Co-Founder of Fortress Trust Company from October 2021 to December 2023, Tom demonstrated leadership and strategic vision. Prior to this role, Tom served as EVP at Lexicon Bank from July 2019 to October 2021 and held significant positions at Western States Bank, including Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer, from October 2006 to July 2019. Tom’s career began at First Interstate Bank, where various roles were held from August 2002 to October 2006. Tom holds an MBA from the University of Wyoming and a BSBA from Montana State University Billings.
