Ben Miron

Ben Miron is Vice President of IT Infrastructure and Cybersecurity at NextEra Energy. Mr. Miron’s responsibilities include developing the strategy and leading the team that operates and defends NextEra Energy’s technology systems to ensure power is safely delivered to customers. This includes the IT technology solution team (data center, network, compute, operational control technology, end user technology services) and the cybersecurity program including the Advanced Cyberdefense Center across NextEra Energy and its businesses.

Mr. Miron has over 20 years in the information technology and cybersecurity space and has held several roles in industry and consulting to build his expertise. Most recently, Mr. Miron worked for General Electric where he held several roles including Deputy CISO of GE Capital; CISO of GE Corporate and the Director of Application and Product Security. Prior to joining General Electric, Mr. Miron worked at Ernst & Young in their Technology, Security and Risk Services practice where he developed and delivered advanced security assessments, compliance programs and strategic security advisory engagements.

Mr. Miron is a member of the State of Florida’s Cyber Security advisory council chaired by lieutenant governor Nunez. He is a member of the CISO Board of Advisors for the ClearSky Security venture fund and is involved in numerous industry and sector initiatives to improve Energy and smart-grid cybersecurity.
