Juha Ruokonen

Juha Ruokonen has extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving as Corporate Relations Manager at Fortum since August 2012, where expertise in communications and public affairs is leveraged to influence electricity market policy and engage with stakeholders. Prior roles at Fortum include Communications and Marketing Manager for the Trading and Asset Optimization unit, Engagement Officer focusing on employee communication during the COVID-19 pandemic, and various leadership positions within solar energy and environmental trading. Juha Ruokonen is also a member of the RECS Advisory Board and has held previous positions at GreenStream Network Plc, where responsibilities encompassed managing carbon and renewable energy certificate brokerage, project origination, and market analysis. Education includes studies at the University of Wolverhampton and the University of Helsinki, complemented by formative experience in environmental management consulting.
