Riku Hirsimäki

Riku Hirsimäki has extensive work experience in the IT industry. Riku started their career as an IT Manager at Neste in 1990 and worked there until 2002. Riku then joined Fortum, where they held various positions including Vice President of Power Portfolio Management and Trading, Head of Trading IT, Senior Development Manager, Head of Generation IT, Head of Energy Markets IT, Head of Uniper and Fortum IT collaboration, and Vice President of IT Strategy & Governance. Riku is currently serving as the Director of IT at Fortum.

Riku Hirsimäki completed their education at the Helsinki School of Economics, where they earned an eMBA in Business Administration and Management from 2000 to 2002. Riku also attended the Helsinki University of Applied Sciences from 1995 to 1996, where they obtained a Bachelor of Business Information Technology in IT. In addition, Riku obtained a Diploma in IT Leadership from Aalto EE Executive Programs and Networks in 2022.
