Satu Ojala

Principal Engineer, Environment at Fortum

Satu Ojala has a diverse work experience in the environmental field. Satu began their career as a Limnologist at FCG Finnish Consulting Group in 2004 and continued in the same role at Lapin Vesitutkimus Oy/Ahma ympäristö Oy from 2011 to 2018. In 2018, they joined Eurofins Environment and Industry Finland as a Limnologist before moving to Fortum as an Environmental Specialist later that year. At Fortum, they are responsible for various tasks, including coordinating environmental impact assessments, planning and coordinating environmental studies, writing reports, and supporting other Fortum functions in environmental matters. Satu is currently a Principal Engineer, Environment at Fortum.

Satu Ojala earned a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Aquatic Biology/Limnology from the University of Jyväskylä, where they studied from 1994 to 1999. Satu also briefly studied Aquatic Biology/Limnology at UiT- The Arctic University of Norway in 1996.
