John Jones

John Jones is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the fintech and media sectors. As the Owner of Fortyninegroup, LLC since September 2008, John leads a Fintech services company specializing in outsourced strategic business development resources and B2B partnerships across various financial segments. Prior to this role, John served as SVP Content at MediaNet Digital from 2001 to 2008, managing a team that supported over 60 digital music services, and successfully negotiating more than 400 agreements. At Viacom's The Box Music Network from 2000 to 2001, John doubled channel ratings through innovative programming strategies. Previous positions also include Senior Programmer at MuchMusic, where programming restructuring significantly increased audience reach, and Senior Producer, producing live music content for a major Canadian music channel. John began the career as Music Director at CFNY-FM 102.1 The Edge, where market share was notably increased during a pivotal music era. John is an alumnus of York University and Toronto Metropolitan University.
