Dan Gates has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Dan began their career as a General Laborer at G&G Investments, where they gained skills in carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical work. Dan then worked as a Delivery Assistant at Burke Beverage, Inc. before joining EZLinks Golf, Inc. as a Tee Time Agent.

Dan later became a Recreational Facility Attendant at the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County, where they advised visitors, monitored safety, processed permits, and provided instruction on equipment use. Dan then transitioned to roles at the West Virginia University Student Recreation Center, first as a Shift Manager and later as an Intramural Intern, handling marketing campaigns and organizing sports events.
