Peter Gorman

Peter Gorman has a diverse work experience in various industries. Peter started their career in 2012 as a Legislative Intern for the Illinois State Senate Democratic Caucus. From 2014 to 2016, they worked as a Community Health Intern at Gads Hill Center and as a Program Logistics Coordinator at Timmy Global Health. In 2016, they served as a Student Intern and Project Manager at Putnam County Hospital.

In 2017, Peter interned at the World Health Organization, where they analyzed research on noncommunicable diseases and nutrition. Peter also worked as a Research Assistant at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health in the same year.

Peter joined the Biden-Harris Transition Outreach Team in 2021, serving on the COVID-19 Pandemic Virtual Task Force Committee. Peter was also a COVID-19 Contact Tracing Investigator (Volunteer) at the Chicago Department of Public Health from 2020 to 2021. At DePauw University, Peter studied Global Health and Health Communications. In 2017, they participated in a Semester Study Abroad program in Switzerland at the School for International Training as part of the Global Health and Development Policy Program.

In addition to their formal education, Peter has obtained several certifications. In 2015, they received certification in Adult-Child-Infant CPR and AED from the American Heart Association | American Stroke Association. In 2017, they completed the CITI Program - Social and Behavioral Research Investigators certification offered by Harvard University. Peter gained further certification in 2019 as a HIPAA Associate (HIPAAA) from Forum Health LLC. The following year, in 2020, they obtained certification in COVID-19 Contact Tracing from The Johns Hopkins University. Lastly, in 2019, Peter completed the Sensory Inclusive Initiative training provided by the Chicago White Sox.
