Karla Burr

Karla is a partner and vice president of finance and business operations for Forward Media. In this role, she provides senior-level operational and financial leadership for the business. In addition, she leads facilities, IT, and human resources, promoting a culture where the value of learning and continuous improvement are paramount. She establishes Forward Media’s operational and financial goals, assigns accountability goals to the team, and monitors the company’s performance Karla manages financial reporting to ownership partners and external accountants. She is instrumental in the development of key operational, training, mentorship, and fiscal goals within the framework of policies, procedures, controls, and standards. In conjunction with the senior leadership team, she manages the operational budget, including cash management, accounts payable/receivable, purchasing, human resources, and overall agency administration.

Karla has a proven track record in senior management within the design, creative, and media industry. She is a professional graphic designer by training and was a founding partner of the design and creative firm SpaceCadet/Velocity.
