Teng Vang

Eligibility Financial Employment Planner at FORWARD SERVICE CORPORATION

Teng Vang started their work experience as a Legal Assistant at Recka & Joannes, LLC in 1999. In this role, they interviewed customers, assisted them in navigating the legal system, and collected documentation for hearings. They worked at the company until October 2000.

From 2002 to 2005, Teng worked as a Document Scanner at Source Corp., where they trained new staff and scanned paper documents for safe storage.

Starting in April 2005, Teng joined Forward Service Corporation as a Financial Employment Planner. In this role, they assessed customers to determine their skills and experience gaps, provided case management services, facilitated workshops, and helped customers with job leads and work experience or direct employment placements. They also determined eligibility for benefits, such as W2 cash benefits, cash/medical assistance for refugees, and Job Access Loans. Teng continued to work in this role until August 2017 when they transitioned to the role of Eligibility Financial Employment Planner. In this new position, Teng focused on determining eligibility for the W2 Program, locating local resources for customers, and assisting with resolving immediate issues. Additionally, they provided training for new Financial Employment Planners.

Teng Vang attended UW Milwaukee from 1992 to 1993, where they pursued General Studies. They later attended UW Green Bay from 1994 to 1999 and obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Urban & Regional Planning.
