Jatin Hansrani

Senior Analog Design Engineer at Forza Silicon

Jatin Hansrani has diverse work experience in the field of analog circuit design.

Jatin started their career at Forza Silicon in August 2019 as an Analog Design Engineer, where they contributed to multiple projects designing custom CMOS image sensors for applications such as cinematography, biomedical research, and academic research. Their responsibilities included designing analog circuits, guiding layout engineers, running chip level simulations, debugging issues in silicon, and interacting with customers. In this role, they designed circuits like single-slope ADCs, SRAMs, ramp generators, PLL, serializers, output drivers, bandgap references, and linear regulators.

Prior to Forza Silicon, Jatin had an internship at Intel Corporation in 2019, where they worked as a 3D-XPoint Mixed Signal/Analog Design Engineer.

In 2018, Jatin worked as a Directed Research on Front End Amplifiers for Neural Recording at USC Viterbi School of Engineering. Under the guidance of Prof. Hossein Hashemi, they studied various architectures and circuit techniques of Front End Amplifiers for Neural Recording. Jatin also calculated trade-offs and studied different design techniques to compensate for noise, offset, and input impedance.

Before joining USC, Jatin had another internship at Forza Silicon in 2018 as an Engineering Intern. During this internship, they worked on the Readout Integrated Circuit (ROIC) of an image sensor for mobile applications. Jatin implemented various blocks such as Bandgap Circuit, Reference Current generation block, Reference Voltage generation block, and Buffers using TSMC 40 nm technology.

In 2016, Jatin worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology.

Jatin's first internship was in 2015 at Juvalia & You, where they worked as a Summer Intern. Their main project involved formulating and testing a fitness tracking algorithm for a women's safety device. Jatin achieved an accuracy of 90% by collecting data through an accelerometer and using CC-2540 to detect activity, number of steps, distance traveled, and calories burned.

Overall, Jatin has gained valuable experience in analog circuit design, particularly in the field of image sensors and neural recording amplifiers.

Jatin Hansrani pursued their education in a chronological manner. Jatin started their educational journey at Sardar Patel Vidyalaya, where they completed their high school education from 2006 to 2013. Afterward, they attended Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology from 2013 to 2017, where they achieved a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Instrumentation and Control Engineering. Following their undergraduate studies, Jatin furthered their education at the University of Southern California from 2017 to 2019. Here, they successfully obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
