Uldric Antao, Ph.D.

Staff Mixed-Signal Design Engineer at Forza Silicon

Uldric Antao, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Starting in 2008, they worked as a Student Assistant at Facilities Planning and Design in Buffalo, NY. In 2009, they became a Graduate Research Assistant at the Information Sciences Institute, where they collaborated with multiple universities on building a Cortical Implant chip and designed a 916 MHz PLL for a transmitter.

From 2011 to 2017, Dr. Antao worked as a Graduate Research Assistant in the Neural Dynamics Lab at the University of Southern California. During this time, they designed a novel subthreshold transconductance, developed a low-power Subthreshold Event Detector chip for seismic security sensors, and fabricated the chip using a 150 nm process.

Dr. Antao's most recent position is with Forza Silicon, where they have held two roles. Uldric started in 2017 as a Senior Mixed-Signal Design Engineer and was later promoted to Staff Mixed-Signal Design Engineer in July 2021.

Uldric Antao, Ph.D., pursued their education in the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Uldric obtained their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree from the University at Buffalo, where they also minored in Music Performance. Following this, they attended the University of Southern California, where they completed their Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Uldric then continued their academic journey at the University of Southern California, earning their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in the same field.
