Marco Spizzichino has over 25 years of professional experience in the IT and security industry. Marco began their career in 1995 as a System Administrator at MGE Communications. In 1997, they became the Manager of Starfarm Internet Communications srl, where they were responsible for IT Management, Project Management and Web Applications Development. In 1998, they provided IT and Security Consultancy for the first online portal of Italian Language and Culture at Rai Trade. From 2000 to 2006, they worked at mi2g Ltd as a Security Analyst, where they developed and supported Security Management for Financial Projects with Banks and Financial Holdings. Marco then moved to Hewlett-Packard, where they worked as a QA System/Software Engineer for IPS and NGFW devices. In 2014, they became the Lead Engineer at Fospha.

Marco Spizzichino obtained their Maturita' Scientifica from Liceo Scentifico Renzo Levi between 1980 and 1989. Marco then attended Sapienza Università di Roma, graduating with a degree in Computer Science in 2000. In 2003, they attended University of Lausanne - UNIL, though they did not receive a degree. In 2018, they obtained certifications from Coursera in Functional Programming in Scala Capstone, Functional Programming in Scala Specialization, Big Data Analysis with Scala and Spark, Parallel programming, Functional Program Design in Scala, and Functional Programming Principles in Scala. In 1997, they also obtained a State Diploma in Technical Radio, and holds an Amateur Radio License from the Ministero delle Comunicazioni.
