Jacob Riis Folkenberg

Jacob Riis Folkenberg has over two decades of work experience in technology and engineering. Jacob Riis held various roles at FOSS, including Vice President Technology, Senior Manager, and People Manager. Prior to this, they worked as a Development Engineer at Crystal Fibre A/S. Jacob Riis also gained experience as an Assistant Professor at DTU Fotonik and completed their Ph.D. at the Technical University of Denmark.

Jacob Riis Folkenberg completed their primary education at Skipper Clement Skolen from 1978 to 1988. Jacob Riis then went on to Aalborghus Gymnasium from 1988 to 1991, where they earned a Matematisk student degree. Later, they pursued a Ph.D. in Optics and solid state physics at DTU - Technical University of Denmark from 1992 to 2000. In 2017, they enrolled in the Graduate Diploma Program (HD 1. del) in Business/Managerial Economics at Copenhagen Business School, completing it in 2021.
