Alejandro Limon

Managing Director Mexico & Central America at Fotowatio Renewable Ventures (FRV)

Alejandro Limon has a strong background in the renewable energy industry, with significant experience in project finance and management. Alejandro currently serves as the Managing Director for Fotowatio Renewable Ventures (FRV) in Mexico and Central America, where they oversee the development and operation of a large PV generator and pioneered a battery energy storage project. Prior to FRV, Alejandro had leadership roles in project finance and M&A at Abdul Latiff Jameel and Grupo Salinas. Alejandro also has experience in investment banking at RBC Capital Markets and project finance at Inbursa. Alejandro is a member of the Board of Directors for the Asociación Mexicana de Energía Solar (ASOLMEX), advocating for the development and regulation of the solar energy industry.

Alejandro Limon completed their education in a chronological manner. Alejandro began by attending Instituto Cumbres from 1991 to 2003, where they obtained their high school degree. Following this, from 2003 to 2008, Limon pursued a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BBA) at Tecnológico de Monterrey. During their time at the university, they also studied abroad at Université libre de Bruxelles in 2005-2006 as part of their BBA program.

In 2012, Limon enrolled in a graduate course (diploma) at Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México, focusing on Project Finance and Project Valuation. This further enhanced their knowledge and skills in the field. Continuing their educational journey, from 2013 to 2014, Limon attended the UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School, where they obtained a Master of Science in Energy & Environmental Finance (MSc Energy & Environmental Finance), further specializing in the field of finance.

In addition to their formal education, Limon also obtained relevant certifications. In March 2014, they received the Series 7 and 63 FINRA certifications from FINRA. Alejandro has also pursued the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, successfully completing Level II. However, precise information regarding the date of completion for the CFA Level II is not available.
