Karen Wong

Sr. Project Specialist at FOUNDATION FOR CALIFORNIA COMMUNITY COLLEGES

Karen Wong started their work experience in 2004 at Boeing as an Estimating & Pricing Analyst, where they oversaw the financial performance of projects exceeding $150 million and championed cost-effective management. Karen then worked at Caesars Palace Hotel & Casino in 2008 as a Food and Beverage Intern, evaluating daily operating revenue and expenses and scrutinizing labor schedules. In 2011, they joined Universal Studios Hollywood as a Quality Analyst and later became a Senior Financial Analyst. Karen then moved on to work at the California State Teachers Retirement System as a Senior Analyst from 2016 to 2017. From 2017 to 2020, they worked at the California Public Employees Retirement System as a Project Specialist. Currently, they are employed as a Senior Project Specialist at the Foundation for California Community Colleges, starting in 2020.

In 2007, Karen studied at the Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts, focusing on Pâtisserie and Baking, and obtained a diploma.

Between 2000 and 2004, Karen pursued their undergraduate education at the University of California, Berkeley. Karen earned a B.A in Sociology, with a minor in Business.
