Shelby Lord has a work experience that spans multiple roles and industries. In 2018, they worked at the Sonoma County Office of Education as a K-12 Substitute Teacher. From 2019 to 2020, they served as a Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee at Social Advocates for Youth. In 2020, they worked as a Career Assistant at Santa Rosa Junior College. In 2021, they transitioned to Sonoma State University and held various roles including Administrative Coordinator, Career Pathways Coordinator, and Career Advisor. Shelby Lord pursued higher education in the field of communication and psychology. Shelby obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Communication from Liberty University, studying from 2022 to 2025. Prior to that, they completed their Master of Arts (MA) degree in Psychology from Brandman University, studying from 2018 to 2020. Shelby also holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing from California State University, Chico, which they obtained from 2013 to 2017.
In addition to their academic achievements, Shelby Lord has obtained several certifications. Shelby completed the "Conflicts of Interest," "Essentials of Research Administration," and "Social and Behavioral Researchers" certifications from the CITI Program. Shelby obtained these certifications in 2023, with the "Conflicts of Interest" and "Essentials of Research Administration" certifications obtained in May, and the "Social and Behavioral Researchers" certification obtained in January.
