Stavros Pissadakis

Stavros Pissadakis is the current Director of Research at Foundation for Research and Technology - Hellas (FORTH). Stavros has been with FORTH for 19 years and 7 months, holding various positions such as Director of Research, Researcher B, and Head of the Photonics Materials and Devices Laboratory (PMDL). Stavros is also a Member of the National Council for Research and Innovation (NCRI), Tech. Transfer & IP for the Greek Ministry of Development and Investments, and a Visiting Professor at the University of Crete and Università degli Studi di Parma. Stavros has also served as a Research Fellow at the University of Southampton and a Visiting Lecturer at the Technical University of Crete. Prior to their work in academia and research, Stavros served in the Greek Army for 1 year and 5 months.

Stavros Pissadakis has a PhD from the University of Southampton in Photonics and ORC from 1996-2000. Stavros also has a Ptychion from the University of Crete in Physics from 1989-1994. Stavros is currently enrolled in Harvard Business School Online for a Sustainable Business Strategy and a Disruptive Business Strategy from 2021-2021.
