Dr. Paridhi Jha

Director: Research And Training at Foundation for Research in Health Systems

Dr. Paridhi Jha is a highly experienced professional in the field of health systems research and training. Currently serving as the Director of Research and Training at the Foundation for Research in Health Systems since May 2018 and as an Executive Director, Dr. Jha is focused on developing an implementation project aimed at enhancing perinatal care in Indian health facilities. Previously, Dr. Jha held the position of Global Leadership Scholar at the Florence Nightingale Foundation and was a Research Affiliate at Uppsala University, where a PhD thesis centered on the quality of childbirth services in Chhattisgarh, India was completed. Dr. Jha’s academic background includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Quality of Services from Uppsala University, a Master of Science in Midwifery from Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the College of Nursing, AFMC, Pune. Dr. Jha also has experience in teaching and clinical instruction in nursing and midwifery.

Foundation for Research in Health Systems (FRHS) is a 34 year old not-for-profit research organization established in 1989. The administrative Head Quarter of FRHS is located in Bengaluru, Karnataka and temporary field offices are setup for all ongoing projects at the project sites. Since its inception, FRHS has successfully carried out 130 projects across 18 states in India. FRHS mission is to develop and apply innovative approaches and models for improving management practices in health systems and programmes. FRHS focuses mainly on strengthening existing health systems through evaluation of ongoing programs and policies, to identify gaps.
