Thomas Botton has extensive work experience in various positions and roles. Thomas started their career at Liip in 2009 as a Web Developer and eventually took on the roles of Business Developer, Product Owner, Lead Business Development, Lead Mobile Apps, and Co-Lead Business Development. Thomas also served as a Coach for Product Owners and Business Developers and was responsible for legal reviewing and signing. Thomas has been involved in several projects, including the development of mobile apps for the Digital Epidemiology Lab and the TooLink app for Bobst. In addition to their work at Liip, Thomas co-founded and serves on the board of North Capital SA. Thomas is also a member of the committee FIT Digital at FIT - Fondation pour l'Innovation Technologique. Furthermore, Thomas is the founder and organizer of Lean Startup Breakfast Romandie and Mobile Romandie Beer. Thomas co-founded and organized Agile Tour Lausanne from 2011 to 2013. Prior to their time at Liip, Thomas worked as a Web Software Developer at DGEM Inc. during their Master's internship, where they were involved in the development of a wine stocks online application.
Thomas Botton obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science from the Université de Neuchâtel, which they attended from 2004 to 2009. In addition to their formal education, they also obtained several certifications. These include being a Certified ScrumMaster and a Certified Scrum Product Owner, which they obtained from the Scrum Alliance in 2011 and 2012 respectively. In 2017, Thomas became a Holacracy Practitioner after completing training with dwarfs and Giants. Thomas later obtained the Lean Startup - Mentor certification from LEANSTACK in 2019. Most recently, in 2023, they completed Strategic Negotiation Executive Training from The Program on Negotiation.
