Senior Vice President, Civic Leadership Strategy And Impact at Foundation For The Carolinas

Tracy Russ serves as the Special Advisor for Civic Initiatives at Foundation For The Carolinas since March 2022 and has been the Managing Director of SOLID agency since October 2014, where expertise lies in strategy development and communications for various sectors. Previous roles include Chief Communications Officer for Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, managing communications for one of the largest K-12 districts in the nation, and Chief Convergence Officer at ecoAmerica, leading a significant initiative for climate change awareness. As CEO of Russ Communications, Tracy provided consulting in cause marketing and civic engagement. Notable involvement includes serving as Chief Marketing Officer and Senior Communications Advisor for the 2012 Democratic National Convention in Charlotte and leading a $7 million civic engagement campaign as Executive Director of Crossroads Charlotte. Tracy holds a B.A. in English from Guilford College.
