Cassandra Burke

Cassandra Burke, Ph.D., is a Principal Scientist in Research and Early Development at Foundation Medicine, with prior experience as a Senior Scientist within the same department. Before joining Foundation Medicine in January 2020, Cassandra served as Scientist II at NanoString Technologies, Inc., where responsibilities included leading technical teams in Hyb & Seq R&D and developing the Hyb & Seq NGS platform, earning the 2018 NanoString Key Corporate Goals Award. Cassandra's experience also includes a Postdoctoral Research Associate position at the University of Washington, focusing on RNA-aptamer based Ribosensors, and a Graduate Researcher role at UC Irvine, where novel in vitro selection schemes for ribozymes were developed. Academic achievements include a Ph.D. in Chemistry from UC Irvine and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from St. John's University.
