Jen Mills has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Jen began their career as a Social Work Intern at New York-Presbyterian Hospital in 1999 and later served as a Patient Education and Support Consultant and Grant Manager. Jen also worked as a Public Health Intern and Patient Information Specialist at the Lymphoma Research Foundation.
In 2007, Jen became an Adjunct Professor at New York University, where they taught until 2010. Jen then joined Genentech as a Senior Manager, Advocacy Relations, and gradually progressed to the role of Director, Patient Engagement and Novel Patient-Focused Partnerships. During their tenure at Genentech, they were also the Head of Advocacy Relations.
Since 2018, Jen has been working at Foundation Medicine, initially as Vice President, Patient, and Professional Partnerships, and currently, they hold the position of Vice President, Medical Affairs. Jen'sextensive experience in patient programs and services, advocacy relations, and partnerships highlights their expertise in building connections between healthcare organizations and patients.
Jen Mills has a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from New York University, which they obtained between 2004 and 2011. Prior to that, they completed a Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) in Community Health Education at New York University from 2001 to 2002. In 2001, they also participated in a Post-Master’s Fellowship in End of Life and Palliative Care at New York University. Additionally, they hold a Master of Social Work (MSW) specializing in Advanced Practice and Programming from Columbia University, earned from 1999 to 2000. Jen's undergraduate education is a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Social Work from Auburn University, completed from 1995 to 1999.
