Julie Rice

Julie Rice has over a decade of work experience in software engineering and data engineering roles. Julie currently serves as a Principal Software Engineer at Foundation Medicine since September 2022. Prior to this, they were a Senior Software Engineer Technical Lead at Foundation Medicine starting from December 2019.

Before joining Foundation Medicine, Julie worked at Devoted Health as a Sr Data Engineer from April 2019 to December 2019.

From 2014 to 2019, Julie was with PatientPing, where they held the position of Lead Software Engineer. Julie'srole involved designing and implementing system-wide data architecture and processing features.

Julie also gained experience as a Software Engineer at ThingWorx, a PTC Business, from March 2014 to July 2014.

In 2013, Julie worked as a Software Engineer at PTC - Innovation Labs, where they conducted research and development for an Internet of Things cloud platform utilizing technologies such as AWS Java SDK, Chef recipes, MongoDB, and Dynamo.

Prior to that, Julie worked as a Software Engineer at American Well, where they contributed to full-stack web application development using technologies such as Hibernate, Spring, Java, Tomcat, JSP, Javascript, CSS, and Oracle database.

Julie's earliest work experience was as a Software Engineer at Lockheed Martin, where they obtained a Top Secret Security Clearance and worked on projects involving Android application development, web servers, Java, Spring, Hibernate, and Postgres database.

Julie also had internship experiences at Shell and Shell Trading as a Software Engineer Intern.

Julie Rice attended Texas Tech University from 2005 to 2009 where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science with a Minor in Mathematics, graduating Summa Cum Laude. Julie has also obtained certifications in "Faster pandas," "Statistics Foundations 1: The Basics," and "Statistics Foundations 2: Probability" from LinkedIn in 2021.
