Peter Ianakiev

Peter Ianakiev, PhD, 岩 亞納基耶夫, is a seasoned scientist with extensive experience in Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) and molecular biology. As a Senior Scientist and Application Scientist at Foundation Medicine since March 2019, Peter leads innovative projects while pushing the boundaries of current technology. In addition, Peter serves as Principal at a stealth mode NGS start-up since May 2015, focusing on comprehensive NGS support from experimental design to data interpretation. Prior roles include Principal at Hera Biosciences LLC, Staff Development Scientist at Beckman Coulter, and Senior Scientist at multiple organizations, including NABsys and Intelligent Biosystems. Peter's educational background includes an MSc in Genetic Engineering from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski and a PhD in Molecular Biology from the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.
