Jason Van Gaal is a seasoned entrepreneur and technology expert with extensive experience in the tech sector. Currently serving as Principal at 0MC Capital since July 2019, Van Gaal focuses on socially responsible AI and sustainable economic transitions. As a Partner at CO2SHIFT, the emphasis is on significant reductions in carbon offset costs while supporting vulnerable communities. With a background as Co-Founder and CEO of Soul Labs, development of responsible technologies utilizing advanced AI has been a key focus. Previous roles include Community Director at TechToronto, founder and board member positions at ROOT Data Center and Granite Networks, and mentorship at FounderFuel. Van Gaal holds a B.Eng in Mechanical Engineering from Carleton University, earned between 2002 and 2007.
