Thando Sibanda

Thando Sibanda serves as the Deputy Head of Legal at 54 Collective VC since May 2023, alongside founding Sibanda Advisory in April 2020. Thando previously held several legal roles at IDF CAPITAL from January 2019 to April 2023, including Head of Legal and Senior Legal Advisor, focusing on managing legal activities related to capital raising, investments, due diligence, deal structuring, and litigation portfolio management. Thando began a legal career at Bowmans (Law Firm) from January 2014 to December 2018 as an Associate in Banking and Finance/Coporate, and as a Candidate Attorney. Educational qualifications include a Master of Laws (Tax Law) from the University of the Witwatersrand, Registered Persons Examinations from The South African Institute of Financial Markets, and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of the Western Cape.
