Robert Bender has had an extensive career in the field of information technology. Robert started their career in 1989 as a Data Coordinator at Fiserv, where they scheduled and monitored processing jobs. In 1994, they joined Founders Federal Credit Union as a Datacenter Manager and later took on roles such as Senior Vice President - IT and Chief Technology Officer. During this time, they also served in various leadership positions, including Chairman of the Fiserv Client Technology Council and Chairman of the Spectrum Secure User Group. Robert holds certifications in information security and risk management from ISACA. In 2020, Bender became the Chief Technology Officer at Founders Innovative Technology.

Robert Bender has a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management from Oregon State University. Prior to that, they attended Saint Edmonds High School where they studied General Studies. In terms of certifications, they obtained the Certified Information Security Manager® (CISM) certification from ISACA in August 2015. In November 2017, they received the Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control™ (CRISC) certification from ISACA. Additionally, they obtained the Cybersecurity Audit Certified certification from ISACA in November 2018. Most recently, in May 2020, they acquired the Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer certification from ISACA.
