Rune Birkeland

Rune Birkeland serves as the Chairman of the Board at Wergeland Group since July 2022 and is a member of the Board of Directors for multiple organizations, including Fount and Grieg Maritime Group. Birkeland has extensive experience in leadership roles, having held positions such as CEO at Grieg Star and G2 Ocean, while also being a deputy member of the Board of Directors at G2 Ocean. Previous engagements include serving as a board member for Norges forskningsråd and Squamish Terminals Ltd. Birkeland’s educational background features degrees from prominent institutions, including INSEAD and the Norwegian School of Economics.
