Rutger Hofste

Rutger Hofste is the Founder and CEO of 414 since January 2021, specializing in sustainable investment compliance with EU taxonomy regulations and SFDR through an innovative collaborative platform. Previously, Hofste served as a Founder in Residence at Entrepreneur First and held the position of Strategic and Technical Lead for Aqueduct at the World Resources Institute, where four online tools were launched, reaching over 180 million readers and featured in 80+ news outlets. Additional roles include Expert Reviewer for the IPCC, Hydroinformatics Consultant at IHE Delft Institute, and internships in renewable energy at Siemens Gamesa. Hofste holds Master's degrees in Civil Engineering and Water Resources Engineering from the National University of Singapore and Delft University of Technology, respectively, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Delft University of Technology.
