Emily Diaferio Otd

Emily Diaferio OTD, OTR/L is a seasoned occupational therapist with significant experience in quality assurance and direct patient care. Currently serving as the Regional Quality Assurance Liaison and Occupational Therapist at FOX Rehabilitation since March 2018, Emily provides evidence-based and client-centered care to enhance the quality of life for older adults. Emily has a background in conducting systematic reviews related to health promotion for older adults with the American Occupational Therapy Association and has led therapeutic groups for adults with serious mental illness to foster recovery and community skills. Educational qualifications include an Occupational Therapy Doctorate and a Master of Science from Boston University, complemented by a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Penn State University. Throughout various internships, Emily has developed skills in promoting independence, safety, and social participation among diverse populations.
