Michael G. O'Malley

Michael G. O'Malley is an experienced marketing professional with a diverse background in economic development, tourism, and sports. Currently serving as a Marketing Consultant and Marketing Director at the Economic Development Corporation of Utah since January 2019, Michael has also been involved with Fox School of Wine as a Tour Guide and Stand-up Historian since October 2021, and has held a long-term role as a Mountain Host and Hiking Guide at Deer Valley Resort since December 2007. Michael's prior experience includes a significant tenure as Marketing and Outreach Director at the Utah Governor's Office of Economic Development from September 2012 to November 2018, along with roles at USTAR where Michael G. managed marketing for the state's innovation economy initiative. At GE Money, Michael oversaw marketing for one of the largest corporate card issuers from 1994 to 2008. Michael holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Pomona College, obtained in 1978.
