Omar Salem is a distinguished financial regulation and FinTech partner at Fox Williams, with extensive legal experience in both private practice and in-house roles. Prior to joining Fox Williams in July 2024, Omar served as General Counsel and Head of Legal & Regulatory Affairs at Algbra from August 2022 to June 2024. From March 2013 to August 2022, Omar was a Managing Associate at Linklaters, specializing in financial regulation, where advice was provided on complex regulatory matters across various financial institutions. Additional experience includes a secondment to Citi's Legal Regulatory Group, co-founding the UpRising Leadership Programme, research roles at The Young Foundation, and serving as a Senior Researcher for Emily Thornberry MP. Omar holds a BA (Hons) in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford, a Bachelor of Laws from The University of Law, and an Executive LLM in Financial Law and Financial Regulation from LSE.
