Marcelo Furlan

Marcelo Furlan is an accomplished professional in social media and communication, currently serving as the Associate Director of Social Media at FOX Deportes since November 2021. Marcelo leads the strategy and management of digital content across significant platforms, enhancing audience engagement and monetization. In addition to this role, Marcelo lectures at Universidad del Istmo, focusing on courses related to audiovisual information, transmedia storytelling, and specialized journalism. Previous experience includes consultancy work with the Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo, where Marcelo developed communication materials for project management methodologies, and roles at 21st Century Fox and Prensa Libre, where Marcelo managed social media channels and content creation. Marcelo holds a Master’s degree in Communication and Digital Entrepreneurship, a diploma in International Communication, and a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences.
