James Sutton

James Sutton has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. James most recently worked as a Lead ML Engineer at Union.ai starting in February 2023. Prior to that, they were a Co-Founder at Fractional Finance since June 2021. From August 2021 to September 2022, they worked as a Principal ML Engineer at DataRobot.

James also gained extensive experience at Algorithmia, where they held various roles including ML Solutions Architect - L5 from March 2021 to August 2021, Lead Machine Learning Engineer from June 2020 to March 2021, Senior Machine Learning Engineer from February 2018 to June 2020, and Machine Learning Engineer from January 2016 to February 2018.

Before that, James worked as a Technical Advisor at B-Line from February 2020 to October 2020. James also founded Condense AI Consulting Services in July 2018 and served as Founder until October 2020.

James started their career as a Data Scientist and Engineer at ebo Innovations from October 2015 to March 2016. James was also a Mechanical Engineer at SureShot Solutions from November 2014 to May 2015.

In addition, James gained research experience as a Materials Engineering Researcher at Dalhousie University from May 2012 to March 2014, where they worked on the development and testing of a new type of carbon foam. James also worked as a Sales Associate at Canadian Tire from April 2007 to July 2011.

Throughout their career, James has demonstrated expertise in machine learning, engineering, research, and entrepreneurship.

James Sutton attended Dalhousie University from 2009 to 2014, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Metallurgical Engineering.
