Ditton Kawalya has held a variety of roles in the engineering and manufacturing industries since 2009. From 2009 to 2011, they were a General Services Operation Intern at the US Embassy Uganda/USAID. In 2012, they were a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Drive Factor, where they worked with OB devices used by insurance companies and tested and analyzed devices for a primary purpose of determining tires' wear rate according to customers' driving manners. From 2013 to 2014, they worked at NxStage Medical as a Mechanical Engineer, where they performed engineering testing and managed the RoHS Clarification project. Lastly, from 2014 to present, they have been an Engineering Manager and Manufacturing Process Engineer at Fraen Corporation, where they have utilized lean manufacturing concepts to develop continuous process improvement plans.
Ditton Kawalya attended Worcester Polytechnic Institute from 2010 to 2014, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
